The U.S. National Rifle Team consists of the USA’s elite marksmanship athletes. Currently 125 members strong, representing 30 states across the nation, it’s members must each pass a rigorous tryout. The tryout is conducted under the direction of a team coach consisting of 120 shots at 1,000 yards into a 10″ (X-ring) vertical group standard.

The USNRT consists of Olympic caliber athletes whom desire to represent the USA at the Long Range World Championships held in rotating countries every 4 years.

There are several teams within the USNRT:

The Gold team is hand picked after another rigorous tryout process to represent the USA in the World Championship Palma Match.  They are the members of the Palma Team.

The Red team competes domestically and internationally, and, like the Palma team, competes with iron sighted target rifles in .308 or .223 caliber.

The Blue team also competes domestically, but with Any sight rifles, to include optics, and its members contend for Overall / National titles.
